This post is mainly for my Wordpress site but I know some of my LJ friends have WordPress blogs and some who also use programs that allow them to add pinging services to Live Journal..like Windows Live Writer which I just started using myself.

What is blog pinging service?
The Blog Pinging services inform blog directories and search engines online whenever your blog has been updated and this helps more people discover your blog and increases your traffic.
Below I’ve listed some pinging services that you can add to your Blog.

How to add a list of ping services to your blog?

go to your wordpress dashboard >> click on the Settings Tab >> Go to writing sub tab >> scroll down the page and you will find “Update Services” section at the bottom of the page >> paste urls into the box >> click save

If you use Windows Live Writer:  Go to Tools >>Options >>Ping Services>>click OK
